Regardless of the built-in protections, direct sunlight is very hard on inks and vinyl. A shady location is always preferable to one that receives a lot of direct sunlight. Also, never use window cleaner or similar products on vinyl stickers as you could damage the ink and/or greatly reduce the life of the ink and vinyl.
